Mittelbrunn liegt ca. 20 km von Kaiserslautern entfernt.
Der Menhir besteht aus Sandstein und ragt etwa 1,70 Meter aus dem Boden. Er weist einen rechteckigen Querschnitt auf. An einer Seite des Menhirs ist ein auffälliges Loch zu erkennen. Leider haben etliche Besucher ihre Initialen in den Stein geritzt. Laut aufgestelltem Hinweisschild soll der Menhir aus der Jungsteinzeit stammen.
