The cruise ship port in Valencia is adjacent to a huge parking lot and a relatively short distance 1.3 miles to the modern City of Arts and Sciences complex. However the center of the old city is more than three miles away to the northwest. Cruise lines offer shuttle bus service (cost in our case € 15) to the north part of the old city near the Torre Serrano. Its about a 20 minute ride depending upon traffic. From there its a short walk into the old city. If you are taking a shore excursion you could stay in Valencia and return to the ship via shuttle bus at no charge.
There is a bus stop opposite the harbor at the 4 Doctor J.J. Domine street where you can catch the line number 19 bus. It takes 16 stops to reach the Plaza. de l'Ajuntament located in the town hall square. Estimated time: 33 minutes. Cost about € 1.50.
