Petra Jopp in formierte, stellvertretend für ihren Mann, gemeinsam mit Dr. Ulrich Kuhl über die anstehenden Veränderungen. Zum 1.Oktober übernimmt der Apotheker Dr. Ulrich Kuhl zusätzlich zur bestehenden Bahnhof Apotheke noch die Paradies Apotheke sowie das Kosmetikparadies von Apotheker Dieter Jopp. Von 1929 bis 1950 führte Apotheker Dr. A. Paradies die Paradies Apotheke, die damals als zweite Apotheke in der Stadt gegründet wurde, bis er sie dann 1950 seinem Schwiegersohn Apotheker Albert Unterharnscheidt übergab. Er und seine Frau Gisela, geb. Paradies, blieben zunächst bis Ende November 1973 in den Räumen der Paradies Apotheke in der Güntherstraße 12.
Im Dezember 1973 wurde die Apotheke dann an ihren heutigen Standort Bahnhofstraße/Ecke Güntherstraße verlegt. Es war ein gewaltiger Umzug mit all den Fläschchen, Tiegeln, Sälbchen, Pillen, Tees, Tabletten, Tinkturen und anderen Arzneien. Nach schwerer Erkrankung verpachtete Herr Unterharnscheidt dann 1983 die Apotheke an Apotheker H.H. Joerres. Er blieb etwa zwei Jahre in Andernach. Nach dem frühen Tod ihres Mannes verpachtet Frau Gisela Unterharnscheidt die Apotheke dann am 1. Juli 1985 an Apotheker Dieter Jopp. Diese sollte im Sinne des Apothekers Albert Unterharnscheidt weitergeführt werden. Dieter Jopp übernahm das gesamte Team der Paradies Apotheke. Im Januar 1996 wurde die Apotheke dann von Dieter Jopp käuflich erworben. Das schwere Sommerhochwasser 1995, viele werden sich daran erinnern, war der Anlass dazu, der Apotheke ein neues Gesicht zu verleihen. Sie wurde umgebaut und nach modernen Gesichtspunkten und gesetzlich vorgeschrieben Regeln funktionell eingerichtet.
Auch die Bahnhof Apotheke hat eine lange Tradition. 1963 wurde sie am heutigen Standort in der Bahnhofstraße eröffnet und seit 2003 leitet Dr. Ulrich Kuhl die Apotheke. Petra Jopp stellte heraus, dass das bekannte und bewährte Team der Paradies Apotheke komplett erhalten bleibt. „Ich freue mich unsere Kunden dann, mit meinem Team, in beiden Apotheken beraten zu können“, so Dr. Ulrich Kuhl.
