This water tower is in the residential area of Goonellabah, which is just east of Lismore. It sits RIGHT next to #12 Wyreena Street.

This is a moderately large diameter, and quite tall concrete cylinder, with an external stairway leading to the top.
There is an external 'depth measure', showing how much water is currently stored. It has a cable holding a steel marker that rides astride the painted wooden measure, no doubt connected to a float inside the tower.

My reason for stopping by on Sunday, 3 May, 2015, was to get a photograph of the Trig Point on top of it. TP5349: (visit link)
I had come to Goonellabah the night before for a Geocaching Event at the nearby Chinese restaurant.
