Znak nawigacyjny zbudowany w ramach modernizacji toru wodnego i systemu nawigacyjnego w 1873/74. Ma 10 m wysokosci. Wraz z nieistniejaca juz stawa Wolin na falochronie wschodnim (obecnie centralnym) i namiernikami tworzyly nowoczesny system nawigacji. Projekt wykonal radca budowlany Severin. Charakterystyczny ksztalt i estetyka obiektu sprawity, iz stal sie on swoistym symbolem Miasta.

Stawa Mlyny, was constructed between 1873 and 1874 during the modernization works of the fairway and navigation system. Together with the former Wolin beacon located on the Eastern Breakwater (now Central Breakwater) and direction finders, it used to serve as a modern navigation system. The project was designed and executed by Severin, a construction advisor. With its distinctive shape and aesthetics it soon become an easily recognisable landmark of Swinoujscie.
