In April 10, 1881 was made the first Czech telephone call from the administrative building of the mine Richard Hartman to the train station in Duchcov. In October 1881 the first concession on telephone services in the Czech Republic was given to Palacky & Comp.
11. August 1882 was launched a public telephone operation in Prague. The network had 11 participants. In winter of 1882 there were 98 telephone lines and the first phone list was published.
