Work of sculptor Laurence Jenkell, a French plastic artist, this sculpture depicts 1 polyester giant candy wrapped in the colors of the European flag. In 2011 Jenkell created 55 of these candy wrapper sculptures representing the flags of the nations attending the G20 conference held in Cannes.
The Flag of Europe, or European Flag consists of a circle of 12 golden (yellow) stars on an azure background. It is an official symbol of two separate organizations — the Council of Europe (CoE) and the European Union (EU) — both of which term it the "Flag of Europe" or the "European Flag". It was first adopted in 1955 by the Council of Europe to represent the European continent as a whole.

En 2011, Jenkell a créé 55 de ces sculptures d'emballage de bonbons représentant les drapeaux des nations participant à la conférence du G20 qui se tenait à Cannes.
Le drapeau européen est un drapeau décoré de douze étoiles d'or à cinq branches, l'une des branches pointée vers le haut, disposées à distance égale en cercle sur champ d'azur. Il représente la solidarité et l’union entre les peuples d’Europe.
