Saron Lutheran Church was founded by Swedish immigrants on January 25, 1892.
Saron belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
There is a parochial preschool on site.
Groundbreaking for the current church building was on June 13, 1965. The first worship service to be held in the new building was Christmas Eve that year. The church was dedicated February 27, 1966. Additions were built in 1979 and again in 1997. A bell from the first church building stands in front of the current building.
