Lindsay Jayne Ashford's novel "The Woman on the Orient Express" is a novel about mystery Writer Agatha Christie.
The first chapter depicts her making plans to travel from London to Baghdad on the Orient Express. However, another part of the chapter depicts Katherine Woolley, also a real person and a archeologist, going to her office at the British Museum. She is also making plans to take the Orient Express..but while she is in the Museum, she is reading a newspaper account of her husband's suicide from five years earlier...which is just being adjudicated now. Woolley gathers three books and decides to leave the Museum to escape the gossip that is assuredly taking place.
