From the Australian Cemeteries Index site: (visit link)
"Casino General Cemetery appears to have been established in the mid-19th century. The earliest inscription extant is dated 1859. Burials have continued until the present day but the numbers are relatively few during the past decade suggesting that the cemetery is now closed except for reservations." (see link below)
"The cemetery is included on Council's Local Heritage Inventory. The cemetery site comprises denominational portions but these are not indicated. Some of the older stones have fallen and broken. Lichen is also a problem on some of the monuments but the inscriptions are mostly legible. The grounds are maintained in good order by Council." I certainly agree, that as at May 2015 the grounds were well maintained.
The Australian Cemeteries Index site lists some 3733 inscriptions.
From: (visit link) It looks like there are no more sites to be bought here, tho burials in plots already owned would be allowed. (The Casino Lawn Cemetery is now available.)

Directions: From the Casino CBD, head north on the Summerland Way about a kilometer and a half, and the entrance for the cemetery is directory opposite the Casino Golf Course. Limited parking beside the road.
