The heritage park is located on the east side of a branch of the AuSable River near the center of the village.

The statue is located at the sign for the Wilmington Heritage Park. The statue is of two approximately life-sized bears. The mother bear is standing, while the cub is on all fours. It looks like they are cast in zinc with a dark finish.
