"Catherine E. Marquart, nee Miesner, 85, Krakow, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington.

"Catherine, daughter of the late Frank Miesner and wife Barbara, nee Schlitt, was born April 13, 1929, in Krakow. She was united in marriage to Ralph Marquart Nov. 23, 1950, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Krakow. Catherine was a member of Washington V.F.W. Post 2661 Ladies Auxiliary, St. Gertrude Church Ladies Sodality, St. Gertrude Church Quilters, and Western Catholic Union Branch 209.

"Catherine is survived by her husband, Ralph Marquart, Krakow; two sons, Ronnie Marquart and wife Jeanette, Marthasville, and Kevin Marquart and wife Jan, Krakow; three daughters, Ruth Brinker and husband Eugene, Washington, Charlene Virgen and husband Ray, and Debbie Marquart, all of Krakow; one brother, Charles Miesner and wife Leona, Krakow; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

"She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Marquart; parents, Frank and Barbara Miesner; and one sister, Mary Miesner.

"Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.

"A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Krakow.

"Interment followed at the church cemetery.

"Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Gertrude Catholic Church or Grade School.

"The Marquart family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington." ~ Published in The Missourian on Dec. 10, 2014
