The happy smiling Blue Whale in Catoosa is one of the most recognized icons on Route 66. It is a 20 foot tall 80 foot long with water slides for gills and a diving platform for a tail in a pond
In his glory days in the '70s and early '80s, kids dove from high atop his stately tail into the swimming hole it guarded. In 1988 the old swimming hole was shut down.
