Being a gearhead myself, I considered it serendipitous that we just happened to be going through Armstrong on the weekend of their Car Show. Tally=14

The first 'Tween the Tracks Carshow took place on August 17, 2013, as part of the city's centennial celebration. It was organized by the Cam Jammers Car Club, a Vernon club first organized in 1956. The 2014 show took place on August 16 in the same location. The name comes from the fact that the show takes place on either side of the railway tracks which run down the centre of Pleasant Valley Road, which serves as Main Street in the downtown business section of town.

There were (I didn't count) probably well over 100 cars in attendance, with rods, classics and vintage cars predominating. There were food and refreshment stands set up for the event, as well as restaurants and pubs on each side of the street right beside the show. There is a pavilion and a small park on the north side of the railway tracks, from which live music emanated through the day.

One of the highlights of this show was a 1926 Wurlitzer Carousel Organ, which was pumping out its music at about 150 decibels.

As well as class trophies, people's choice awards are given.
