Younger Sister Blaster's favorite relief on Mama Blaster's frequent haunt during her days as a student at the University of Texas: the owl (duh)
There are several reliefs to enjoy on the outside of the Texas Union Building that were added in a 1976 renovation. When you are finished enjoying the outside of the Texas Union, come inside and have a Shiner Bock in the Cactus Bar: an iconic Texas beer in the first bar licensed to operate in the state of Texas after Prohibition ended in 1933. The University of Texas still holds Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Permit No. 1 -- I (Mama Blaster) have seen it with my own eyes over at the Barker Texas History Center.
Toasting absent friends is optional.
