I first came across this stone while geocaching in this cemetery a few years ago. It seemed a little unusual to find a Revolutionary War Veteran in this part of the country. Interestingly enough, you can also find a veteran of the war of 1812 buried here.
Adams' Cemetery is a little out of the way. The road back to the cemetery is a bit overgrown and if you're not careful you won't even notice it's there. You'll find Stephen Thomas Hedger's grave at the top of a hill underneath a pine tree. The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution have placed a small metal monument here. Unfortunately, there seems to be very little information about this solder, though.
Visit Instructions:PLEASE NOTE: This category is for American Revolutionary War Veterans only. Veterans of other revolutions are not part of this category.
I have allowed one entry for a grave of British solders, but it was an exception. Please only list graves for Colonial soldiers.
Simply visit the locations. Please provide as much information as possible. Pictures would be a great addition.
