In 1908 it is believed that La Crosse architects, Parkinson & Dockendorff designed and built this Twentieth Century Commercial design style for Mrs. B.F. Ferguson. The building was designed to house the Stoll & Groves Men's Clothing Store which was its first tenant. In 1940 the building was slightly altered. The building would also house Langhus Drugstore. The building is listed on the NRHP as the Mrs. B.F. Ferguson Commercial Building, but is known locally and by the Wisconsin Historical Society as the Stoll & Grove Commercial Building.
