This historic bell was cast in Boston MA in 1809 by the Revere & Son Foundry, which was established by Paul Revere, for the First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist in Northborough, MA. A bronze plaque near the bell describes its history:

THE HISTORIC BELL LOCATED HERE WAS HOUSED IN THE
SECOND MEETING HOUSE OF THE FIRST CONGREGATIONAL
UNITARIAN CHURCH OF NORTHBOROUGH ERECTED ON THIS
SITE IN 1808. CAST IN THE PAUL REVERE FOUNDRY IN 1809 THE
BELL TOLLED THE DEATH OF EVERY PRESIDENT FROM JOHN
ADAMS TO FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT. THIS BUILDING
WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY A TRAGIC FIRE ON THE
TWENTY-SECOND OF DECEMBER 1845, AND THE BELL
RECLAIMED FROM THE ASHES.
