About 5 feet off the ground and 5 feet north of the southeast corner of the building, one can see this BM from quite a distance, making it as easy to find as any one will encounter. Felts Field, established in 1926, was the region's first airfield, then a National Guard training base. It is also an NRHP Historic District.
