This monument is an undated milepost:

"10 Miles to Boston - J. M. Leen (?)"

The stone itself has been incorporated into the southern end of a stone wall on the west side of Washington Street (Route 138). An internet search turned up no information on the stone, but judging by the age of the stone found three miles south, it would most likely been pre-1800.
