In Ticonderoga, near Fort Ticonderoga, is a large, grassy field, where American troops are buried, known as Garrison Cemetery.
The cemetery is on the fort property, and, thus, you must pay the admission fee - see the web site. From the parking lot at the fort, go along the exit way for about a tenth mile to the field and cemetery on the left.
The cemetery is simply a raised mound compared to the terrain around it. There is a NY state marker with the following text:
"Garrison Cemetery
Here are buried several hundred officers and men of the American Army, Chiefly New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Militia 1775-77."
Another marker states that 18 bodies are interred here. The hump looks larger than that, but I haven't found any more information about this location.
