EN/The parish Church of Our Lady is leaning against the rock that bears the Véretz Castle. Basically, it was a Romanesque church of the XII century. Almost completely destroyed, leaving only the bell tower, its foothills and arched openings, albeit recontruite early XVIéme century in the Gothic style. It is dedicated November 20, 1519 by the Bishop of Three.
The entire nave, transept and the false heart is arched on intersecting ribs. All openings are simple.
The originality of this building is the presence of the stately chapel installed in the stands and communicating directly with the terrace of the Château.
Inside we denote murals of XVI and of XVI century, a votive ship hanging in the nave, the work of Jean BRICAU (1809-1888), the last shipwright who lived in Véretz and a sculpted group representing the charity Saint-Martin.
