[DE] Der fränkische Königshof Salhof wurde erstmals im Jahre 977 urkundlich erwähnt. Die ältesten Bauteile des heutigen Gebäudes stammen aus den Jahren 1150 bis 1170. Im Jahre 1686 wurde der Salhof durch Johann Freiherr vom und zum Stein barock umgestaltet und erweitert.
Heute dient das 1969 renovierte Gebäude als Empfangssaal und beherbergt Räume der Stadtverwaltung.
In die Stadtmauer eingefügt befindet sich das Tympanon Relief, ein Kalksteinrelief aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Am Münzbrunnen mit dem Wappen der Stadt Lahnstein sind verschiedene römische Münzen und Lahnsteiner Golddukaten angebracht.

[EN] The Franconian Königshof Salhof was mentioned for the first time in 977. The oldest parts of the present building date back to the years 1150 to 1170. In 1686, the Salhof was redesigned and extended by Johann Freiherr from and to the Stein baroque.
Today, the building, which was renovated in 1969, serves as a reception hall and houses rooms of the city administration.
The Tympanon Relief, a limestone relief from the 12th century, is inserted into the city wall. At the mint with the coat of arms of the town of Lahnstein are various Roman coins and Lahnsteiner gold ducats attached.
