This is another location that is sort of part of a series I have been interested in. You should know it when you see it. Email me with a descriptive word or two after you log it.

This is one of those little spots that ya often see but never go check out. Now, you have a reason to check it out. I have tried to find a little background about this place below is what I know so far and was provided by cacher JC3&D.

"What I think we are looking at here is a father's sad memorial. Meinod Riebold Jr. was the first-born son of Meinrad Riebold and Catherine Garmache. Meinrod Jr. was born in Jefferson County on March 15th, 1863 and died two years later on May 27th, 1965. Meinrod Jr. was was the first of eight siblings, on one brother was alive when he passed. They were probably good Catholics and the father is interned in St. John's Cemetary. I would assume that young Meinrod Jr. is as well. The father was born in Baden, Germany. I bet he built that in rememberance of his son.

The above information was gleaned from Ancestry.Com - Ancestry World Tree Project - 9872 Database. I hope this does not put a downer on the curiosity, I certainly was curious. Spring in Winter. 2 of 4 for the day. JC3&D"

This is very easy and takes almost no time to visit.
