This interesting and elegant arch is composed of wrought iron and gilt elements, frames the historic entry into St John Zachary Church, which was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666 and not rebuilt. The waymarked modern arch gate stands in for, and reminds of, the traditional church gate of St Zachary that was destroyed 400 years ago.
