Carl Linnaeus never visited Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nor did any of his own Apostles. However, the flag of Sweden flies over the new teaching garden dedicated to the study of plants, and a life-size statue of Linnaeus himself greets all visitors at the entrance.
In 2007 we celebrate the 300th anniversary of Linnaeus' birth and the 100th anniversary of Oklahoma's statehood. We hope this garden will provide a place for all citizens to become apostles of botany and science, for many years to come.
