The first chapel on the Katzenberg was build in the year 1900. The current one was build in 1939 by the architect Prof. Carl Burger. Its style was influenced by the expressionism. As this chapel is near the mine Katzenberg it is dedidacted to the saint of the miners St. Barbara. The chapel is open from March to November. Near the chapel the grave-stones of the family Rathcheck (owner of the mine) are placed.
