Ronald "King" Simpson was known in the local community of Bangor, Wisconsin when he suddenly passed away at his home of a sudden heart attack at the age of 50 on September 20, 2003. He served in Vietnam and was a member of the Anderson-Good American Legion Post 40 in Bangor. He was also a member of the Bangor-Burns Fire Department. This bench sits next the local firefighter's memorial in Stockman's Park which is across the street from the Bangor-Burns Fire Department. His wife Connie was a large part in memorializing her husband. This bench is marble with an engraved stone plaque located on the center of the sitting area.
