"Third Good Energy solar farm up and running

Good Energy’s newest and closest solar farm has started generating electricity.
The Chippenham based renewable electricity supplier and generator said the 25-acre site, at Rook Wood near Royal Wootton Bassett, would generate enough green electricity to power around 1,100 homes.
Simon Wheeler, Good Energy's head of development, said: “It’s great to see our newest site at Rook Wood up and running.
“The solar farm has been carefully designed to allow the landowner’s sheep to continue to graze around the solar panels. We will also be sowing wildflower seeds across all three fields, to enhance biodiversity and provide valuable habitats for local wildlife.”
The 4.9MW site brings the number of solar farms that have been developed and operated by Good Energy to three, following Woolbridge Solar Farm in Dorset and Creathorne Solar Farm in North Cornwall last year.
And a further two are already under construction - one in Wiltshire and one in Cornwall.
