FR/C'est en 1858, que ce puits comblé au tiers sera remis en service à la demande des habitants et à leurs frais.
Tout propriétaire présent ou à venir pourra venir puiser de l'eau à la condition de payer sa part. Ce qui explique, cette particularité, la présence d'une porte fermée, chaque associé possédant une clef.
Ce puits à voûte dit "Puits chapelle" est commun en Indre et Loire.
Il est d'une profondeur de 38 mètres et est entièrement briqueté de haut en bas.
Ce puits est resté en bon état et sert de temps en temps aux Pompiers d'Amboise pour faire des manoeuvres.
