This is still a Coast Guard Station. You can park and look around the public areas.

There is public access along walkways. The restricted areas are well marked by high chain link fences. There is a set of stairs that take you down near the water where you can look back up at the lighthouse. The grounds are open 9am to sunset.

More information on the lighthouse is available at this website. According to the website, this building was was built in 1858 and was automated in 1974. It is an active navigation aid and US Coast Guard housing. It is 32 feet high.
