Located at the Northwest section of Eckhart Park in Viroqua, Wisconsin is an art area that features a high school art students service learning project, a sculpture by world famous artist Kati Casida and a bench celebrating Mrs. Casida's heritage as she was born in Viroqua. The bench is dedicated to all the immigrants from Sogn, Norway who came to this area. The bench also bears the full name Katie Monson Casida as Monson was here maiden name. The bench is extremely long and made of marble. It is placed on a wooden walking platform right in front of the other art so one could sit to enjoy the art on display. It's dated 1987. The bench is so long two pictures were needed for all the inscriptions. They read TOP: "BRU" - 1987 - KATI MONSON CASIDA : BOTTOM: DEDICATED TO THE IMMIGRANTS FROM SOGN NORWAY.
