Donna Jewell Turner was born in nearby Avalanche, Wisconsin. She attended Viroqua High School where she was a drummer in 1947. She graduated as a teacher and soon after taught in Sag City. She was married to Kenneth "Ken" Turner in a double wedding in 1951. In 1954 the couple moved to Viroqua where they started a business called Ken's TV. They worked together in the business for 35 years. She truly lived life to the fullest with her hobbies and trips abroad. In 2006 she died suddenly with her family at her side.
