"Union Center Fire Company started a First Aid Team in the mid-1960's. In 1992 an EMS team was formed. The team is made up of personnel with CPR training, New York State Certified First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Paramedics."
"The Union Center Fire Company responds to approximately 400 emergencies a year within our response district. These emergencies cover a wide spectrum including structural fires, motor vehicle accidents, water rescue, hazardous material incidents, and service calls. Our fleet of fire apparatus is fully equipped to handle all incidents, and our two fire stations are strategically located to provide optimal response time to an emergency. The state-of-the-art equipment on our apparatus is designed to save the lives of both victims and first responders. The high level of training that our membership receives has allowed us to continue to hold a reputation for aggressive and safe interior operations at structural fires and we often assist our neighboring departments with their Incidents as well."
