The Killman Zoo is a small zoo located near Caledonia Ontario. The zoo is situated on 33 acres of land and has been open to the public since 1988. It claims to have 35 different species of animals including one of the largest collections of big cats in Ontario. Aside from the big cats, there are namy animals at this zoo that you can feed, included some that you can hand feed. Shelled peanuts are sold for $2 / scoop. You can handfeed the peanuts to dwarf goats or to emu:
Or you can toss peanuts into cages including "common domestic animals" such as rabbits and chickens, or more exotic animals such snow monkeys and other primates:
But not all animals are to be fed. You can assume the big cats have little interest in eating peanuts. And some other animals are not to be fed. Those animals have signs above the cages to state as much:
And if you see a sign like this, then you are for sure good:
This zoo is closed during the winter months and has reduced hours during spring and fall. Please contact the park or consult their website for current hours and admission rates.
