Spring house is rebuild in 1928 and restored in 2015.
My source (
visit link) reads:
For more than 2,000 years the people at Sauerbrunnen and Petersquelle get their water, which has special healing effects because it has a special taste because it is very ferrous.
Excavations prove that the Romans already appreciated the sources very well, stones with gods were found, which can be classified as water or spring sacred.
First written evidence for a spa operation at this point already exists from the late 15th century. Around 1780 a health resort was built, which was only used for a few years.
In 2015, the facility at Petersquelle could be renovated so far that visitors can find out about the history on the spot. Info panels inform you about the history of the site and the watercourse with its modern play equipment, both small and big children have the same fun!
