The four column groups leave four of the eight side faces of the lower wellstock free. Each of these four free sides has a cast-iron memorial panel.

The anterior is dedicated to the Elector, and has the inscription: BALDUIN ARCHBISHOP AND CURRENCY 1307-1354

The three other panels show the portraits of Henry VII - Dante Alighieri and Peter of Aspelt.

The upper half of the well is decorated with eight early Gothic arcades; Two angels support the coats of arms of the city of Trier and the diocese of Trier; Two warriors the Luxemburger lions and the eagle of the realm.

On top the bronze statue of the former Trierer Elector and Archbishop Balduin of Luxembourg.
