Located on one of the most beautiful areas of Norskedalen, this sculpture greets visitors to the Gundersen Arboretum. Just Northwest of Gunderson Pond and just off the handicap accessible walking path, this sculpture was created by nationally know sculptor Paul T. Granlund. It was dedicated to Helga I. Gundersen and reflects her contributions and life as a pioneer to the area in the 1890's. The sculpture was given in her memory by her son Alf H. Gundersen in 1983. The sculpture itself depicts a mother, father, and child in a flow that can only be reached in a gravity-free environment. The website for the arboretum is here : (visit link)
