En 1793, une croix de pierre aurait été brisée sur la colline de la Bruyère et les débris jetés dans la Bresbre qui coule en contre bas.
La partie supérieure de cette croix surmonte actuellement le fronton de l'ancien presbytère.
Comme réparation de ce sacrilège, un calvaire y fut érigé, et inauguré par M. Le Chanoine Bletterie le 5 Juin 1857.
En 1882, puis en 1912, les croix ont de nouveaux été remplacées.
Aujourd'hui, le calvaire et le chemin de croix ont été restauré par les habitants du hameau de La Bruyère.
Chaque vendredi saint les fidèles amis de la Salette se rassemblent sur ce chemin de croix, pour une cérémonie de recueillement.
In 1793 a stone cross was broken on the hill of the Bruyère and debris thrown into the Bresbre flowing down against.
The upper part of this cross currently surmounts the pediment of the old rectory.
As compensation for this sacrilege, a Calvary was erected there, and inaugurated by Mr. Le Chanoine Bletterie June 5, 1857.
In 1882, then in 1912, the crosses have been replaced new.
Today, the Calvary and the Stations of the Cross were restored by the inhabitants of the hamlet of La Bruyère.
Every Friday the true friends of the Salette gather on this way of the cross, for a remembrance ceremony.
