I spoke to a council worker mowing the lawns who advised that the silos no longer accept grain & haven't for about 10 years. Farmers now-a-days store grain on their properties & sell independently to the grain handler of their choice. Also the area is now a major cotton grower with the southern hemisphere's largest cotton gin nearby.
