"Officially known as the first solar powered multiple e-bike charging station in Canada. The charging station takes advantage of the electricity generated from on-site solar photovoltaic panels and storage batteries to charge e-bikes for campus and community users.

This service is offered free of charge and aims to raise awareness of off-grid electricity generation, promote Energy House and SLC as hubs of sustainability and demonstrate how truly emissions-free electric transportation can be done on a small scale. The Station is also used for educational and research applications, providing useful data on e-bike charging and usage behaviours, as well as an opportunity to study the effect of this load on the Energy House facility."
