In 1910 E.J. Kowitz purchase a vacant lot from the Hill Estate. This lot use to have building(s) that housed several agricultural implement businesses. Sometime between purchasing the lot and 1911, Mr. Kowitz built this building to house his business, the Sparta Bottling Works. He maintained the business here for an unknown amount of time. No other business is related to this building. Today the building is home to Dana's Music.
