Located in front of the McGuire-Dent Recreation and Fitness Center on Seawall Blvd. This monument honors Galvestonians who were lost during World War I.

A large pink marble monolith flanked on both sides by enlarged marble benches.

A bronze plaque, greened with age and exposure to the salt air, is topped with an eagle. The date 1917 and 1918 appear on the side.

Clutched below the eagles talons are the words: HONOR ROLL.
