Dedicated some time in the 20's, this monument still stands today on the grounds of the old Vernon County Courthouse. This monument is right next to a sidewalk, East of the main entrance. It breaks the death down into three categories: those who died in country, those who died in battle, and those who died of disease elsewhere.
