The rich history of Valley Lodge 60 goes back over 100 years as they built a building on Water Street in 1891 and then a new lodge in 1923 next to the Sparta Free Library.

The history of Valley Lodge 60 in Sparta is well documented in a couple very historic building in Sparta, WI. In 1891 they built a large Masonic temple on Water Street that house many Masonic Groups, retail stores, and the US Post Office, and later the Knights of Pythias. In 1923 they built an elaborate building next to the Sparta Free Library, which today houses the Deke Slayton Aero Space and Bicycle Museum. Today they are in this new building on the corner of North Court and West Montgomery, along with O.E.S. 18.
