From the Park's webpage:Deception Pass State Park is a 4,134-acre marine and camping park with 77,000 feet of saltwater shoreline, and 33,900 feet of freshwater shoreline on three lakes. Rugged cliffs drop to meet the turbulent waters of Deception Pass. The park is outstanding for breath-taking views, old-growth forests and abundant wildlife.
This is our favorite place to visit in Washington State. The views of the San Juan Islands, Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Deception Pass itself are breathtaking. Enjoy hiking, biking, beachcombing, birdwatching, fishing, boating....
The park has over 300 sites, although some of them are closed over the winter. Even with this many sites it is near impossible to find a site without a reservation most of the Spring and Summer.
Be sure to check out the picture gallery for a photo of a campsite, and other scenic shots.
