Die Bärenuhr ist in Dessau bekannt als Uhr, ursprünglich wurde das kleine Gebäude aber als Wetterhäuschen errichtet.
Das Gebäude hat eine Grundfläche von etwa 1x1m auf 3 Seiten befinden sich Fenster, die Südseite hat eine Tür.
Heute werden die Fenster zum aushängen von Informationen genutzt.
Auf dem Dach des kleinen Hauses sind die Himmelsrichtungen aufgestellt verziehrt mit einem großen und mehreren kleinen Bären.
An allen 4 Seiten sind in die Fassaden weiße analoge Uhren eingebracht. Auf Zahlen hat man bei den Uhren verzichtet. Die Zeiger sind schwarz. Die Uhren sind wie auch die nahegelegene Bahnhofsuhr dem Bauhausstil anelehnt. Daher ist davon auszugehen, dass die Uhren nicht original sind.
