This M-109 Self-Propelled Howitzer is found on the yard of the historic Brandon Armoury which is also home to 26th Field Regiment
Museum.

The plaque on the howitzer reads:

This M-109 Self-Propelled Howitzer is dedicated to the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Ross Thompson, CD and to the soldiers of the 26th Field Regiment RCA Past, Present and Future.

The monument was placed by the 26th Field Regiment RCA/XII Manitoba Dragoons Museum
