Die Statue ist der beschädigte Teil eines Bildstocks. Der obere Teil des Kreuzes fehlt.
Sie steht heute in einer Wandnische am Pastorat.
Es wird vermutet dass sich am ursprünglichen Standort des Bildstocks der Galgen von Schwarzrheindorf befand und der Bildstock die zum Tode Verurteilten an die Reue erinnern sollte.

(Die Büßerin Magdalena bisher im Niederfeld, damit (die Figur) nicht weiter zerstört werde, in den Schatten der Kirche gebracht im Jahre des Herrn 1910)
EN: The statue is the damaged part of a cross. The upper part of the cross is missing. Today it is located in a wall niche at the Pastorat.
It is supposed that in the original location of the block was the place where the gallows of Schwarzrheindorf were and the cross should remind the convicted of their remorse.
In 1910 the statue was moved to its current location to prevent farther decay.
