25-174W Control Station - Sparta, WI - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

Located just off the West side of Igloo Road near the I-90 overpass, this well preserved station was placed as a geodetic control for the Wisconsin County GPS Network. Owned and maintained by the Wisconsin DOT, this disk was found using the Wisconsin state Control Finder interactive database. In order to find the disk park on the West side of Igloo going Southbound just past the overpass. Walk towards the overpass, on the West side of the guard rail and look down. There was a piece if wood in the ground next to the disk, but the best way to find it is the guard rail.
